BERKLEY the Dog needs a home

Berkley is not complaining about this winter at all! He is an active dog and loves playing in the snow. He loves his walks and attention from staff and volunteers he knows. Berkley is scared of stangers and will bark and growl to let you know that he is not comfortable. We have been working on making him more comfortable around strangers through positive reinforcement. He had made a great amount of progress but his new owner will need to continue working with him on this, ideally under direction of a canine behaviourist. Being a hound, Berkley is better suited to living in a house or rural property rather than an apartment. Berkley would likely do well with other dogs if introduced slowly. He has not been tested with cats. Berkely is on his way to becoming a loyal and loving family member.
